RecycleWorks and recycling partners sponsor first countywide Swap Meet

San Mateo - Local residents can SELL or SWAP unwanted items at the Swap Meet on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at the San Mateo County Event Center. Old wedding presents, outgrown clothes, books you've already read, sports equipment that is gathering dust... Time to clean out the closets!

"The event focuses on reuse and the importance of keeping salvageable goods out of the landfill," says Tammy Del Bene, Recycling Coordinator of Norcal Waste Systems, Inc., and the Swap Committee Coordinator. "We hope to target residents of multi-family dwellings, such as condominiums and apartments, who cannot typically hold a garage sale where they live but want to get rid of usable items they no longer need."

Reserve a space for only $25 before April 27 (afterwards: $40). Registration packets and more information are at The Swap Meet will be open from 9 AM - 3 PM at the Event Center (formerly the EXPO Center) at 2495 South Delaware Street, San Mateo.
